What’s Happening in June?
*On Sunday, June 9th, we will celebrate our United Methodist Women in a number of ways. For example, the UMW will participate in our worship service in various roles. In addition, the UMW will host a “clothing shower” after worship (see below.)
*Also on Sunday, June 9th, all are invited to bring new or gently used clothing for infants through teens. Diapers and personal care items will also be appreciated; our gifts will be donated to the Adoptive and Foster Families of Maine’s Kinship program. Thank you!
*Church council will meet directly after worship on Sunday, June 9th.
*Church will transition to its summer start time (10am) on Father’s Day, June 16th.
*We will prepare and deliver a meal for the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter on Sunday, June 16th.
*United Methodist Women are scheduled to meet on Wednesday, June 19th at 1pm.
*Vacation Bible School is right around the corner! “Polar Blast: Where Jesus’ Love is Cool” will begin on Monday, June 24th. From 9am to 12pm, kids will dive into games, crafts, music, science experiments, puppet shows, lessons and snacks. We would appreciate any volunteers who can help us chaperone the kids to their various activities around the church; please see Judy or Steve for more details.
