What’s Happening in December?

*Meet us Sunday mornings at 9:45 as we enjoy “Faithful: The Story of Christmas Through the Eyes of Joseph” together. This book/DVD resource sheds new light on the Christmas story; plan to join us!

 

*All are invited to bring an unwrapped toy or gift card to church to place under our tree in the sanctuary. All gifts will be provided to local children through Crossroads Ministries.

 

*We are accepting donations of socks, gloves and mittens; these items will be handed-out to those struggling with homelessness on the following Saturdays: December 15, January 19, and February 16.  Area United Methodist Churches team-up for this event; plan to meet at Grace UMC on Union Street on those dates around 10:30 if you can help.

 

*Cecilia (Kay’s mom) is collecting gift cards to provide comfort to parents of children at Duke Hospital.  Appropriate gift cards include: Dunkin, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, Domino’s, Papa John’s, Olive Garden, Applebee’s, Texas Roadhouse, Longhorn Steakhouse, Chili’s, Chipotle, Ruby Tuesday, Chik-Fil-A, Subway, Five Guys,s: Walmart, Target, Kohl’s, JC Penney, Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, and Burlington Coat Factory. *United Methodist Women will meet on Wednesday, December 12th at 1pm.  The program is titled: “Celebrating Christmas: God With Us.” All invited!

 

*Next homeless shelter meal: Sunday, December 16th.  Helpers are needed for salad prep in the downstairs kitchen beginning at 2pm.  Thank you!

 

*Our Christmas Eve service will take place at 7:30 on the 24th.  Right around the corner!
