What’s Happening in February?
*Adult Study group will resume meeting Sunday mornings at 9:45 (Feb. 4th), with the Tuesday group meeting on February 6th at 1pm. The Alton group meets Wednesday evenings at 6:30 if evenings are better for you. All three groups will continue the very interesting “Christianity’s Family Tree: What Other Christians Believe and Why” book/DVD study.
*Our “After School at 36 Oak” group will resume meeting on Tuesday afternoons, beginning February 6th from 3-5pm. Spread the word!
*All are invited to bring a dish to share during our hot dish luncheon after worship on Sunday, February 4th. Don’t have time? No prob; we always have plenty!
*Have a meal at Margaritas on Tuesday, February 6th; a percentage of proceeds will be donated to the Wilson Center.
*Join your friends at Alton UMC for their next church breakfast: Saturday, February 10th from 7-9. A delicious hot menu is featured-all proceeds benefit church ministries.
*Youth group will meet for a “Dinner Night” at Kobe’s Grill on Sunday, February 11th. We will gather at the church at 5pm before heading to dinner.
*Our Ash Wednesday service (already??) will take place on Wednesday, February 14th at 7pm (at Orono UMC.)
*We will host another “Poetry Slam” at Orono UMC on Friday evening, February 16th beginning at 6pm. The evening will feature poetry readings and music from local youth. Plan to join us for this special evening!
*Next Bangor Area Homeless Shelter meal: Sunday, February 18th. Prep a casserole (we provide recipe and pan) and/or meet at 2pm to assist with light prep. Thanks!
