Orono United Methodist provides many opportunities for spiritual formation for all ages!

 

Adult Study:  This group meets each Sunday morning at 9:45 for a blend of scripture and topic study and discussion.  Presently the group is making a journey through Adam Hamilton's "Half Truths" study utilizes a curriculum that incudes a DVD and book.

 

Bible Study:  Our Bible study group meets Thursday evenings at 6pm; presently group is using Randy Frazee's "The Story" which is a fascinating study using scripture, a guide book and DVD.  This study is great for all ages and experiences, and will bring fresh new perspective to the Bible and why it matters to us today.

 

Youth Group:  The youth meet each Sunday morning for fellowship, study and discussion.  The youth also meet at other times for movie nights, excursions to Sweet Frog frozen yogurt parlor, game nights, concerts and summer mission trips.

 

Sunday school: Sunday school for children meets Sunday mornings at 11 in the sanctuary for worship with the church family, then departs for their own time together after the pastor's children's message under the leadership of our Sunday school superintendent, Becky Bendure.  An object lesson approach is used in our curriculum, along with other sources which have proved valuable in past years.
