Steve Smith

Pastor

Steve has served as pastor of the Orono United Methodist Church since July 1, 2009.  Prior to serving in Orono, Steve served as pastor of the Milbridge/Wyman UMC, the Faith UMC, and the Cutler UMC, all in Washington county.  A graduate of Orono High School, the University of Maine, and Bangor Theological Seminary, Steve is married to wife Judy.  Their hobbies together include spending as much time as possible with their five awesome grandchildren, and exploring the great state of Maine.

David Kroehler

Office Administrator 

A member of OUMC since 1985, David has been very active in the life of our church family, including a stint as choir director.  David is more than our office administrator, he also handles our sound system during worship, sings in the choir, and is active in making sure our fellowship time is a happy occasion!

Gretchen Casey

Sunday School Superintendent 

Gretchen has a wealth of leadership experience with church education programs, and also brings over a decade of experience from public school teaching. Gretchen brings a wonderful spirit and dedication to our church, and also leads a women's Bible study and prayer group each week. 

Barb Smith

Organist/Choir Director

Our church family has been very blessed to have the wonderful talents of Barb Smith as organist for 40 years! And for many of those years, she has served as our choir director as well.  Barb fills our sanctuary with inspiring music from a historic pipe organ, and arranges for other special music during our services.
